Obituary
<p>Robert Morse Eggers of Quinn, SD, passed into glory on October 29, 2025. He was born on <br>March 6, 1936, to Ralph Harold and Helen Gladys (Morse) Eggers in Clay Center, NE. He <br>graduated from Ogallala High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1959, <br>where he gained skills as a mechanic which he put to good use the rest of his life. He <br>married Frances Lorene Standiford on September 15, 1957, in Philip, SD. Bob and Frances <br>were blessed with 5 children and lived in various places in Illinois and Iowa before returning <br>to South Dakota in 1969. Bob wore many hats throughout his career: trucker, mechanic, <br>ranch hand, carpenter, and handyman to name a few. He had many skills and was always <br>willing to use his skills to help his neighbors. He loved his family, his country and his Lord. <br>Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Frances. He is survived by his two <br>siblings, Barbara Miller of Ogallala, NE, and Dan (Kathleen) Eggers of Barrington, IL, as well <br>as five children, Cheryl (Paul) Reiter of Rapid City, SD, Robert (Marlene) of Black Hawk, SD, <br>Norman (Cheryl) of Nemo, SD, Timothy (Charlene) of Lead, SD, and Cindy (Clark) Jones of <br>Rapid City, SD, 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. <br>A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist <br>Church, 2212 Lance Street, Rapid City, SD. A luncheon will be served after the memorial for <br>friends and family to reminisce. <br>As an alternative to flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
