Venus Pearl Sierra, 74, of Mission, died September 17, 2023 in at her daughter's residence in Rapid City, SD.
Venus Pearl War Bonnet/Sierra was born October 16, 1948 at the Old Indian Camp in Rapid City to Matthew and Julian War Bonnet.
While growing up she lived in Mission where she attended St. Francis Boarding School the Pine Ridge Oglala Community School. She finished her schooling by graduating from Todd County High School in 1968.
Venus met her husband Valentino F. Sierra Jr. in 1969 and soon married him in Denver CO. They were blessed with four beautiful children. Venus was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her grandkids meant everything to her. Her best friend Barb Boyd whom their friendship lasted over 50 years. Other than spending time with her grandchildren/great grandchildren she loved to play bingo, slot machines (American Reels) and watching all of her favorite TV shows.
Even though she was battling cancer, that did not stop her from showing all of her love, support, smiles and laughter and hugs to make you feel better.
She will be greatly missed by many.
