Cheryl Daugherty Obituary

Rapid City, SD - Cheryl Lynn Pearce Daugherty, 62, after a long battle with cancer passed away on June 15, 2022, at 4:51 PM. She was the wife of Kenneth David Daugherty. They shared 51 years together. Her's and his favorite song was “Remember When”.

 

Born in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John Alfred Pearce (deceased) and Anne Louise Matiasic. She was a high school graduate. She worked as a bookkeeper, sales representative, and bartender.

 

She enjoyed visiting various zoos throughout the United States. Her hobby was scrap booking. She will be remembered for her undeniable love for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was forever giving to those in need and always went out of her way to do something special for those less fortunate during Christmas.

 

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth D. Daugherty; her mother, Anne Louise Pearce of Glassport, PA; her daughter, Barbara Jane Palmer and her husband Runnel Palmer of Rapid City, SD; her son, William David Daugherty of Leavenworth, KS and his partner, Shelena Lovett; her son, Kenneth Alfred Daugherty of Box Elder, SD, her granddaughter, Naomie Van Hecke of Ellsworth Air Force Base, Box Elder, SD and her husband, Justin Van Hecke; her granddaughter, Zodiroze Marie Daugherty of Leavenworth, KS; and her great grandson, Andre Owen Van Hecke of Ellsworth Air Force Base, Box Elder, SD; her sister, Nancy Susan Pearce and her husband, Darrel Neese of Miles City, Montana; her brother, John Pearce of PA; her brother, Joe Pearce and wife, Sharon of Glassport, PA, her brother, William P. Pearce and wife, Tanya of North Versailles, PA, and her brother, James Pearce and wife, Donna of Wilmerding, PA; her brother-n-law, Nicholas J. Laurito of Turtle Creek, PA. She was preceded by her father John Alfred Pearce and sister Cecelia Laurito.

 

 

Her wishes were to not have any funeral services. She wants to be remembered as she was, a loving, caring, wife, mother, and friend.
