Andrew Chado, a man of kind heart and unwavering spirit, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on the 4th of December 2025, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Born on the 11th of November 1962, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Andy’s journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and an appreciation for the natural world.
Andy’s early years were spent in the Nuangola, Pennsylvania, where he attended Crestwood High School in Mountain Top. His education there laid the foundation for a lifetime of hard work and commitment. Andrew carried these values into his professional life, working long time as a Journeymen Plumber. His expertise and reliability earned him not only the respect of his peers but also his Medical Gas Certification, which spoke to his dedication to his craft.
Family was the cornerstone of Andrew's life. He is survived by his longtime partner, Diana Anderson, his brothers, John (Kelly) Chado of Ceresco, NE and Bernie (Sharon) Chado of Gillette, WY, his sisters, Catherine (Jeremy Stewart) Benson of Wapwallopen, PA, and Margie (Dick) Dull of Peoria, AZ, his sister-in-law, Sue Chado of Nuangola, PA. They will forever cherish the memories and moments they shared. His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Andrew was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Joseph and Lois Chado, and his brother, Joe Chado.
Andy’s life was a testament to the words of Mother Teresa, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Andrew's small acts of kindness were indeed great, touching the lives of all who knew him.
An avid outdoorsman, Andrew loved the Black Hills of South Dakota. His passion for hunting and fishing was more than a hobby; it was his connection to the world around him, a way to enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature. Those who accompanied Andy on these excursions experienced not only the thrill of the adventure but also the warmth of his companionship. Andy’s presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. His family and friends will miss his gentle guidance, his hearty laugh, and the unwavering support he offered to all.
In celebrating Andrew Chado's life, we acknowledge the impact he had on our world.
